We had a team of 14 swimmers compete at Age SC States this year and 11 at
Open SC States.
At Open states we fielded two Open women’s relay teams with outstanding
swims from the girls!!
Callum had three top 10 finishes in the 200IM, 400IM and 400FS!
Maddie and Kenzie both debuted at Open level, as 14 year old´s and
performed brilliantly.
At Age SC we had some brilliant results with Angus taking out our first ever,
and subsequently 2 Gold medal at a State level meet winning both the
800FS and 1500FS and bronze in the 400FS. Callum also won bronze in the
200IM and 400FS and silver in the 400IM. Harry snaffled a bronze in the
100Fly with a huge 2.52sec PB from the start of the meet! We also had a
plethora of PBs across the board and finished with two 14u relays for both
boys and girls with the boys sporting matching Funky Trunks and attracting
the attention and praise of commentators on the live stream!
We finished the SC season with Callum competing at the Australian Open
SC championships hosted at MSAC with a finish of 14 in all of Australia in
the 400IM as well as a great swim in the 200IM. We also had a men´s 4×100
relay team qualify for the event but unfortunately due to injury we had to
pull out of the race but its still a show of the depth of the club to qualify in
the first place
